Global Marketing Communications Manager - Automotive Coatings

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Global Marketing Communications Manager to join our Automotive Coatings unit. You will play a critical role in developing and executing comprehensive marketing communications strategies for PPG's Automotive Coatings business. We ask that you have a strong blend of internal and external communications expertise, demand generation experience, and event support capabilities. You will have a solid background in the automotive industry and be proficient in marketing technologies such as Showpad, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Adobe design tools. This position can be based in either Troy, MI or Pittsburgh, PA. You will report to the Director of Communications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement internal communications strategies to engage and inform employees about business initiatives, product launches, and corporate news.
• Manage external communications, including press releases, customer newsletters, social media content, and media relations to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
• Lead demand generation campaigns to drive qualified leads and support sales growth, utilizing Salesforce Marketing Cloud and other marketing automation tools.
• Provide strategic and logistical support for trade shows, including booth design coordination, promotional materials, and on-site event management.
• Plan and execute customer events to showcase new technologies, products, and industry trends to customers and stakeholders.
• Create and maintain marketing communications tools and collateral such as brochures, presentations, case studies, and digital content, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and messaging.
• Collaborate closely with sales, product management, and R&D teams to ensure marketing communications effectively support business objectives and product positioning.
• Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing communications initiatives and adjust strategies to optimize results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of marketing communications experience, preferably within the automotive industry or automotive coatings sector.
• Experience in internal and external communications, demand generation, and event support.
• Proficiency with Showpad, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) is highly desirable.
• Strong project management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
