- Directly oversee daily activities of carpentry personnel, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing guidance to ensure adherence to company standards.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, safety protocols, and project updates.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, addressing personnel issues and facilitating ongoing training and development.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate carpentry projects to align with production timelines and client specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers and other supervisors to allocate resources efficiently and minimize downtime.
- Monitor progress to ensure timely completion of all carpentry-related tasks.
- Inspect completed work for accuracy, structural integrity, and compliance with quality standards.
- Implement and enforce quality assurance procedures to maintain high standards in all carpentry outputs.
- Address and resolve any quality issues promptly, ensuring corrective actions are taken as needed.
- Oversee the proper use, maintenance, and repair of carpentry tools and equipment.
- Schedule regular inspections and coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure all machinery is in safe working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and service history..
- Manage inventory of raw materials, tools, and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels for uninterrupted operations.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and coordinate with procurement to replenish materials as necessary.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and optimize resource utilization.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- High School Diploma
- 2 years of experience in carpentry
- 2-3 years of supervisor experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Must have interpersonal communication skills to interact with employees.
- Ability to supervise, and facilitate others safely
- Ability to train and coach other employees if necessary.
- General math skills.
- Ability to work with others to get the project completed.
- Must be able to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to supervise and control budgets
- Knowledge of products the company uses, and which products would work best.
- Ability to follow instruction to know what needs to be produced and when.
- Ability to organize schedules, people, and equipment for maximum production.
- Understand the production process to be able to coordinate schedules.
- Understands and accepts changes that are implemented to become Best in Class.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for typing, filing, and using office equipment.
- Visual acuity and ability to read small print.
- Hearing acuity and ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Ability to lift and move office supplies and equipment.
- Mobility and ability to move around the office as needed.

- General office environment with a moderate to high exposure to production environment.
