HealthPark DriveFort Myers FL 33908 Department: Child Advocacy Work Type: Full Time Shift: Shift 1/8:30:00 AM to 5:00:00 PM Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$20.04 - $25.05 / hour SummaryWorks under the direction of the Director, Child Advocacy Program at Golisano Childrens hospital providing education through community outreach regarding Mental Health awareness and Parenting Education. Collaborates with community agencies/groups involved in mental illness prevention through conducting community classes, health fairs, and community outreach. Certified as Mental Health First Aid Instructors and Nurturing Parenting Facilitators. Provides ongoing mental health education to Lee Health staff. Participate in media requests regarding mental awareness topics. RequirementsEducation: Bachelors degree required. Experience: 1 year of experience in planning, assessing and evaluating programs required. Some previous experience with media and public speaking preferred. Certification: BLS Required. Certified as a Mental Health First Aid Instructor within 6 months of hire required. Certification in nurturing parent curriculum within 3 months of hire.
