Job Title: Practice Coordinator

Location(s): Brisbane, CA
(Hybrid)

Shift & Schedule:

  • Day Shift: 5 x 8 hours.
  • Monday-Friday
  • Schedule options:
    • 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or
    • 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • No weekends.

Position Overview
The Practice Coordinator II supports call center and patient service operations by handling a high volume of patient calls, navigating multiple patient record systems, and delivering accurate, efficient customer service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Candidate Priority Criteria

Candidates will be prioritized in the following order:

  1. Fully compliant and APeX-trained candidates.
  2. APeX-trained candidates who are partially compliant.
  3. Candidates with prior experience who are not currently compliant.
  4. Candidates who meet job qualifications but are not APeX-trained or compliant

Note: APeX-trained candidates are strongly preferred; non-APeX-trained candidates will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a call center-based Patient Service Representative (PC II).
  • Manage an average of approximately 50 patient calls per day.
    • Current team average: ~35 calls per day.
  • Navigate multiple patient record and scheduling systems efficiently.
  • Provide accurate information and high-quality customer service to patients.
  • Maintain professionalism while handling sustained periods of phone-based and computer-based work
Required Skills & Competencies
  • Strong computer skills, including proficient keyboarding.
  • Experience with at least two Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Demonstrated ability to work across multiple patient record systems simultaneously.
  • Ability to sit at a computer workstation with telephone headset for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a high-volume environment
Education & Experience Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years of related experience
OR
  • College degree and 6 months of related experience.
OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • APeX (Epic) training and experience.
  • Prior work experience with University Health.
