R&D- Color Technician III

The R&D Color Technician assists Color Matchers in various tasks. The color lab technicians' duties include, but are not limited to weigh paint, spray paint and operate other paint equipment within the laboratory. This position is a 10-hour shift, Monday - Thursday.

Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company's staff, employees, and business relationships.

* Perform tests based on Institutional Test Methods (ITMs) and/or Standard Operating Procedures SOPs
* Hand weigh color formulas accurately
* Spray sample panels with an automatic spray machine
* Document all test processes
* Keep record of the work performed every day on the log sheets
* Perform audits on equipment, as needed.
* Perform equipment calibration and adjust parameters as needed (weekly, monthly, etc.)
* Achieve production goals by accurately preparing the appropriate number of samples required
* Accurately and consistent weigh or spray samples based on product goals.
* Adhere to company safety standards at all times.
o Follow company safety procedures as indicated
o Use proper PPE when needed
o Attend safety trainings as planned
* Perform activities needed to maintain the process workflow.
* Keep clean and organized its workplace and equipment.
* Additional duties as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

* Must be legally authorized to work in the country for which you are applying for employment (without now or in the future needing sponsorship for employment work visa and/or permanent residence status).
* Experience maintaining neat and legible records or logs
* Basic knowledge in MS Office (Excel, Word)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* 2+ years of relevant industry experience
* Knowledge of ITM methods, lab equipment, products
* Ability to operate lab balances
* Ability to operate manual or automated application equipment
* Technical understanding of paint mixing and spray application

This position is not eligible for sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, including conversion to H-1B visa.
