UNC Health Medical Group is seeking a Board Certified/Eligible Infectious Disease Physician (MD/DO) to provide per diem virtual teleacute services to a variety of patients at multiple UNC Health community hospital facilities. This role will provide both synchronous and asynchronous consults to patients.

About This Position:

* Remote position, offering the opportunity for work/life balance with no commute.

* Variable shifts; Hours of Operation are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

* Virtual consultations of hospitalized patients, consisting of adults 18 and older.

* High-quality care to adult (18+ years old) hospital patients who need medical services.

* Candidate must be licensed in North Carolina.

* No call.

* EPIC electronic medical record platform utilized.

Ideal Candidate:

* 2+ years of experience is preferred.

* Board Certified/Eligible in Infectious Disease.

* Telemedicine experience is a plus but not required.

* Open-minded and flexible with change.

* Dedicated to developing new and exciting ways to deliver care.

Education Requirements:
* Graduation from an accredited school of medicine.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
* Board Certified Infectious Diseases
* DEA; BLS; MD/DO, NCMB
Professional Experience Requirements:
* Prefer prior inpatient experience.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
* Language Skills: Should be able to communicate proficiently in English.

REASONING ABILITY

High-level quantitative and qualitative reason skills are essential in order to diagnosis medical and clinical issues presented by patients.
