The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in human services, special education, or related field
  • Preferred experience working with forensic populations.
  • Must possess or is able to attain all necessary clearances and background checks to work with designated consumers
  • Possess valid United States State Driver' license.

We are seeking Restoration Counselor to join our team in our Sharon Hill, PA location.



Position Details



The Restoration Counselor carries out the treatment plan developed by the behavior specialist. Provides updates and information to the MCRteam members concerning each individuals progress toward regaining competency. The restoration counselor is responsible for providing consistent services to individuals served. Assist in coordination of discharge and post treatment services



The Restoration Counselor provides mental health treatment and psycho-legal education services such as:
1) Provide rehabilitative skills training
2) Counseling services to aide in the restoration of competency
3) Psychoeducation to aide in the restoration of competency.
4) Provide supports to assist with ongoing competency during court proceedings and processes.
5) Work with the criminal justice system to provide the needed information and supports necessary to assist an individual in regaining competency.
6) Provide discharge services to community supports when appropriate to reduce recidivism.
