This role is not remote/hybrid. This role will report to the Morikis Global Technology Center at 6745 Miller Road, Brecksville, OH 44141.

The Sourcing Analyst I position plays a critical role in supporting Sherwin-Williams' sourcing and procurement strategy. This role is responsible for analyzing spend, evaluating supplier performance, identifying cost saving opportunities, and supporting category strategy execution. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capability, diligence, and an ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate reports using various Microsoft software applications and other Business Intelligence and ERP system tools.
  • Conduct detailed spend analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and risks across assigned categories.
  • Support strategic sourcing initiatives by gathering data, preparing RFQs/RFPs, and evaluating supplier responses.
  • Maintain and support eBusiness initiatives including paperless purchasing and consignment inventory rollouts.
  • Develop cost models and total cost of ownership (TCO) analyses to support sourcing recommendations.
  • Partner with suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor key supplier performance metrics (quality, delivery, cost, compliance).
  • Maintain accurate procurement data, contracts, and supplier records within internal systems.
  • Develop and maintain a variety of reports such as vendor lists, performance history, price quotes, and other information.
  • Develop and maintain a standardized pricing analysis process and determine impact of supplier price changes.
  • Review and resolve invoices with pricing errors with Sourcing Manager final approval.
  • Maintain current vendor pricing in the appropriate ERP system as directed by the Sourcing Managers.
  • Review and resolve invoice pricing discrepancies/past dues while interacting with Accounts Payable personnel and/or suppliers to proactively take actions that will prevent recurrence.
  • Update and maintain records for cost savings initiatives utilizing project software; Interface with Technical, Operations, and Business Unit counterparts to track project progress and timelines.
  • Assist with resolution of supply issues which may include tracking of orders and delivery dates, as necessary.
  • Perform market research and cost model/impact analysis in support of category strategy and supplier negotiation.
  • Assist with analyzing and comparing suppliers and their performance; recommend changes to management to save money and reduce working capital.
  • Prepare dashboards, reports, and presentations for category managers and leadership.
  • Contribute to bench-marking activities, market intelligence research, and supply risk assessments.
  • Ensure alignment with Sherwin-Williams's policies, sustainability goals, and compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or data analytics (internships included).
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Navigator, Palantir, Copilot, or similar tools preferred.
  • Ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed, global environment.
  • Ability to work in a demanding environment.
  • Flexibility to shift priorities and adapt to changing procurement demands.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing, chemicals, or industrial products industries.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Understanding of strategic sourcing methodologies, supplier negotiations, and contract management.
  • APICS, ISM, or other supply chain certifications.
