Senior Site Service Manager

Summary:

Hitachi Particle Engineering and Services, Inc. is looking for an experienced Senior Site Service Manager to provide service and maintenance for the Proton Beam Therapy (PBT) System. This system is used for treating cancer at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis and the associated support systems as assigned. The Site Service Manager will be responsible for keeping the high system availability and ensuring maximum customer satisfaction. The Site Service manager will be responsible for the management of service team to maximize their teamwork.

Responsibilities:

  • Mange contracted on-site service activities including observation system condition, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, trouble shoot and countermeasures.

  • Lead and support Site Service Mangers in US site.

  • Supports the operations of the division manager under the direction of the division manager.

  • Improves the uptime for site PBT system

  • Interfaces with customers and clinicians to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.

  • Maintain overall responsibility all regulatory standards including FDA, Radiation Safety, OSHA and applicable laws and internal policies and procedures

  • Responds to calls for service support within a reasonable amount of time (24hrs / 7days).

  • Conduct Quality Control and Quality Assurance as following the QMS (Quality Management System)

  • Manage to Maintain tools and equipment in good condition including monitoring of calibration due.

  • Control budget and inventory. manages spare parts usage to minimize costs and maximize effectiveness.

  • Direct the employees to work the preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, trouble shoot and countermeasures.

  • Direct the employees to complete and submit work directions in a timely fashion and include all relevant details

  • Approve of documents related to the operation of the site (PO, Invoice, QA documents, Inventory control, employee's timecard, etc.)

  • Educate employees and improve the work environment so employees can work safely

  • Build up team to maximize performance

  • Schedules employee's shift and manage their work time.

  • Schedules work and oversee its activity

  • Well communicate with the Japanese engineers of manufacturer to recovery and improve the system

  • Incorporate new technology, products and processes into daily operations

  • Bookkeeping responsibilities

  • Lead and support Site Service Mangers in US site.

  • Supports the operations of the division manager under the direction of the division manager.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, Nuclear, Medical, etc.) is desirable. Bilingual in Japanese is desirable. But not required. Minimum of 3 years of experience is desirable for;

  • Organization management and budget control.

  • Design and/or engineering for machines, electrical equipment, robots, medical equipment, or facility, etc.

  • Customer relationship management.

  • Technically skilled with proven ability to troubleshoot problems, solve abstract issues, and interpret policies and procedures.

2. Minimum of 1 years of experience is required for;

  • Design and/or engineering for medical device, medical equipment, or medical software.

3. Ability to;

  • manage the small team

  • communicate with customer and employees to make well relationship

  • read and correctly interpret various engineering documents (manufacturing drawings, schematics drawings, wiring, piping diagrams, etc.)

  • Instruct people to use standard electrical test and measurement instruments (Oscilloscope, etc.)

  • Instruct people to safely work in regions of mechanical, electrical, high voltage and radiation.

  • safely lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly

  • safety work on elevated area with safety harnesses

  • work as part of a cross-functional team

  • maintain focus and work with precision over extended periods.

4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office365 (especially Excel)

5. Read and interpret the Japanese technical document if possible.

6. Flexibility to cover the night shifts and availability to work overtime as needed.
