Job Description

The Transactions Manager is primarily responsible for the strategy, discovery, and execution of all property acquisitions and dispositions; manages internal relationships to support development and evaluation of transactions financial analysis and business cases; stewards the approval process for transactions; evaluates and ensures stakeholder communications are timely and accurate; serves as primary liaison to work with brokers and handle external solicitations. While not all inclusive, role can have a focus or involvement with OREO (Other Real Estate Owned) properties, in addition to other owned and leased spaces owned by the bank.

How You'll Spend Your Time
  • You will lead the strategy, negotiation, and execution of property acquisitions and dispositions aligned to organizational goals, budgets, and longterm portfolio plans.
  • You will coordinate communication across Corporate Real Estate Services and Lines of Business to ensure transparency and alignment throughout the transaction lifecycle.
  • You will oversee transaction discovery, site selection, market analysis, feasibility assessments, and tracking of critical transaction dates.
  • You will collaborate internally to develop financial models and business cases while managing the approval process in accordance with governance standards.
  • You will act as a strategic gatekeeper by ensuring transaction requests and business cases align with strategic objectives and have appropriate justification.
  • You will lead lease renewal reviews and transactions and partner with external legal counsel to ensure contracts and documentation are accurate, compliant, and riskmitigated.
  • You will direct the management and sale of residential and commercial OREO properties, coordinating with Special Assets to maximize recovery and ensure adherence to bank policies and reporting requirements.
Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Business and 5-10 years of work-related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Thorough knowledge of the property transactions lifecycle
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Ability to develop strategies and drive decisions in alignment with business goals
  • Proficiency in evaluating transaction economics and developing business cases
  • Effective organizational and stakeholder management skills
  • Working knowledge of real estate laws and procedures
  • Ability to read and analyze real estate agreements, appraisals, title reports, and other associated documents
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including oral and written communication skills
  • Proven PC skills including word processing and spreadsheet software applications
