Volunteer Resource Cordinator

Job Title: Volunteer Program Coordinator

Job Summary:
Supports the development, coordination, and evaluation of the in-service volunteer program. Serves as the primary liaison to 15+ departments, overseeing volunteer recruitment, placement, and daily operations to ensure departmental needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  

  Recruit, interview, and place volunteers based on departmental needs and required skills.

  
  
• 
  

  Conduct a minimum of five volunteer interviews per week, assessing availability, experience, communication skills, and suitability for a healthcare/cancer care environment.

  
  
• 
  

  Evaluate applicants and determine placement, non-placement, or pending status; communicate next steps and conduct reference checks as needed.

  
  
• 
  

  Manage daily volunteer operations, including scheduling and addressing volunteer concerns.

  
  
• 
  

  Develop and distribute weekly volunteer schedules to department supervisors.

  
  
• 
  

  Coordinate administrative functions related to volunteer services and ensure compliance with program guidelines.

  
  

Qualifications:

  Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  Experience in volunteer coordination, healthcare, or administrative support preferred

  Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across departments
