The Account Manager position involves supporting all business activities for Sherwin-Williams' Canadian regional accounts. The person in this role will work closely with the Sales Director and the National Sales Director to drive sales and profitability for The Sherwin-Williams Company.
The person in this role will need to work closely with internal teams and external partners to implement strategies, manage account-related processes, and ensure accurate product presentation. By leveraging market knowledge and operational expertise, the Account Manager plays a key role in delivering exceptional service and achieving The Sherwin-Williams Company's business objectives.

This is a remote role and the candidate can live in Ontario or Quebec.

This position will service the Greater Toronto area with up to a 200 km radius and will also service Montreal with up to a 200 km radius.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

1. Responsible for identifying sales opportunities and driving profitable sales growth. This would include Minwax, Krylon, Purdy, Thompson's Water Seal, Cabot, Geocel, Valspar, and any future product lines, and will require close collaboration with Product, Brand and Channel Marketing teams.

2. Responsible for all regional accounts in Canada and for supporting the Sherwin-Williams Global Supply Chain team in all enterprise- and category-level replenishment efforts, including providing improvement recommendations.

3. Responsible for general overall problem solving across all product categories by utilizing in-depth and intimate knowledge of Sherwin-Williams systems and procedures.

4. Responsible for pricing accuracy as well as weekly tracking and reporting of sales.

5. Responsible for total process of new item set-up within Regional Accounts systems.

6. Responsible for all item maintenance needs for all SW products, across all National Account Departments. This includes monitoring VOC regulations and communicating internally as well as externally with National Accounts Replenishment and item-set-up teams.

7. Lead business maintenance calls with Sales, Product, Product Planning, and Brand & Digital

8. Responsible for creating and maintaining modulars for all Sherwin-Williams categories within all relevant Regional Account Departments as needed.

9. Responsible for setting up all promotional activity within Regional Accounts systems.

10. Responsible for managing all SW items on Regional Accounts Websites by directing Sherwin-Williams support groups accordingly. Ensure product accuracy including new items, discontinued items, content, pricing and enrichment.

11. Responsible for all product submissions and product discontinuations in Regional Accounts.

12. Set strategies for executing customer events and trade shows that build brands' equity and drive conversion among customer & end user targets.

13. Collaborate with Tradeshow Marketing Manager and/or Marketing Lead on all pre-show activities including coordinating and managing regularly scheduled meetings with all internal and external support teams. Ensures all team members understand action items, timelines and are delivering on their specific responsibilities.

14. Assist in developing and working with Marketing on overall strategy of all Product Line Reviews (PLRs).

15. Prepare and present PowerPoint presentation, including recommendations and Planogram images.

16. Align on core strategies to drive growth. Collaborate with customer teams, strategic account managers, and internal cross functional teams to deliver annual plans and programs that drive end user demand and customer growth. Monitor for success and adjust as necessary.

17. In collaboration with Director of Sales, develop sales strategies and take the lead on executing those strategies by utilizing both internal and external resources to maximize revenue and profit within specific channels.

18. Maintain record of all relevant discussions, exchanges, notes, presentations, and price lists about all Regional accounts in Salesforce.

Minimum Requirements:



  • Must have two (2) years of experience in the field of sales
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years old
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment
  • Must have a high school diploma or a General Education Diploma (GED)
  • Must hold a valid, unrestricted driver's license
  • Must have at least one year of experience with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • If you are employed by Sherwin-Williams, you must have received at least a "Meets Expectations" rating (3) on your most recent performance review


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Work experience with one or more regional accounts strongly preferred
