Medical Assistant Gainesville, VA Pay From: $19 per hour MUST: Experienced Medical Assistant 2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant Must be Certified as a Medical Assistant Must have experience working in Primary Care and/or Urgent Care based setting Must have experience working in a high volume, multi provider office Must have injection experience Must be able to multi-task Must have EMR experience, ECW a plus Phlebotomy experience is preferred Prior authorization experience is highly preferred DUTIES: The Medical Assistant will be responsible for but not limited to the following: Taking Vitals Preparing Charts Pulling Charts Follow up calls EKGs Putting notes into EMR system Assisting Techs when needed Answering phones Assisting doctors in room Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions maintaining the reception area Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records. Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies Helps patients in distress by responding to emergencies Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Other duties as assigned *Quadrant, Inc. is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
