What to Expect Join the innovative Thermal Engineering Team at Tesla, the driving force behind groundbreaking technologies like the Tesla Heat Pump, Supermanifold, Octovalve, Superbottle, Airwave, and Bioweapon Defense Mode. This multi-disciplinary team of mechanical, manufacturing, electrical, aerodynamics, thermal, and analytics engineers collaborates across all phases of development-from idea inception to prototyping, production, and fleet support. As a Thermal R&D Engineer, you will focus on system-level thermal architecture, including radiators, refrigerant heat exchangers, compressors, fans, and pumps, to support cabin, battery, and powertrain systems across all Tesla vehicles. This role involves working with a cross-functional team to deliver cutting-edge thermal components and systems that optimize efficiency, performance, reliability, and safety.
