About the 2 West Unit

2 West is a dynamic unit consisting of a twenty-threebed Med/Surg Unit and a twenty-threebed Post-Surgical Unit. Our team welcomes both experienced nurses and new graduates-we are known for our friendly environment and strong mentorship culture.

About the position

We are seeking a motivated and collaborative Assistant Nurse Manager to join our leadership team on 2 West. Scope of work

Under the direction of the nurse manager or other nursing leader, the assistant nurse manager has responsibility for the effective implementation of the philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures of the hospital and the nursing department and their effect on patient care in the department.

Qualifications

  • Effective June 1, 2025, a bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) Required.
  • Two years of clinical experience Required.
  • Participation in leadership activities (Unit, hospital, or system Shared Governance meetings, Precepting, Charge nurse role) Preferred.
  • MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required.
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.
