Job Description




As a Security Officer - Telecom Patrol in Republic, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and access control needs. You will document activity, communicate clearly with site teams, and deliver a customer-focused presence. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout tech-focused office, campus, and/or warehouse areas, including interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Control access to restricted areas by screening entrants, verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing visitors to designated check-in points per site procedures.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems, and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations through the proper channels.
  • Complete routine inspections of doors, gates, loading areas, and critical spaces to help to deter unauthorized access and/or property damage, and report maintenance or operational concerns.
  • Provide traffic and pedestrian direction as needed during peak arrival and departure times, deliveries, and special activities.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations in written reports, including accurate timelines and actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
  • Support emergency and business continuity procedures, such as evacuation and shelter-in-place activities, as directed by site leadership and post orders.
  • Communicate professionally with site stakeholders and Allied Universal leadership, using radios, phones, and/or email systems as required by the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
  • Customer Service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
