Job Description




As a Security Officer - Factory Perimeter Patrol in Covington, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access control, observe and report unusual activity, and provide helpful customer service and clear communication to team members and site contacts. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and completing required reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Control access by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying identification and/or authorization, and directing visitors and contractors according to site procedures.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other monitoring systems when assigned, and report irregular conditions to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Perform vehicle and/or foot patrol checks of doors, gates, fences, and critical equipment areas, documenting findings per site requirements.
  • Support shipping and receiving operations by observing truck movements, checking credentials at access points, and reporting suspicious or prohibited activity.
  • Assist with incident response such as medical situations, fire conditions, and facility disruptions by following post orders and coordinating with emergency responders when needed.
  • Complete shift logs, incident reports, and other documentation with accurate details, including times, locations, and actions taken.
  • Communicate clearly with onsite personnel, dispatch, and/or local authorities as needed to support site procedures and continuity of operations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
