As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a residential community, you will manage access control, verify credentials, and monitor entry points while conducting routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. You will be a visible, professional presence, support residents and guests with clear communication and customer service, and document activity using a computer and/or tablet. Why Join Us: What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and delivery drivers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Control access at community entry points by verifying identification, authorizations, and resident/guest information prior to granting entry.
- Maintain visitor, vendor, and contractor logs and/or access records in accordance with post orders and privacy expectations.
- Issue and track access devices, passes, and/or credentials as directed by site procedures and report discrepancies to site management.
- Monitor cameras, alarms, intercoms, and other access control systems; report irregular activity and/or equipment concerns per escalation guidelines.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with property rule violations and coordinating with local responders when directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, amenity spaces, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and to identify maintenance concerns.
- Perform vehicle and/or pedestrian checks as required, including directing traffic flow during busy entry periods and special community events.
- Document incidents, observations, and actions taken in detailed daily activity reports and incident reports, and submit reports per site requirements.
- Support resident service requests related to access control and security-related questions, providing clear directions and routing issues to the appropriate contacts.
Minimum Requirements: - - CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- - A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- - Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- - Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- - Customer service experience is preferred.
- - Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
