Description

The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger with a key focus on fixed assets, leases, and intangibles. In addition, they will provide support to all departments/divisions within the organization. The ideal candidate is naturally curious, systemssavvy, and committed to continuous improvement.

This full-time position will report to the Manager Accounting and is based at our headquarters in New Hope, Minnesota.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare consolidated roll-forwards and reconciliations for fixed assets, leases, and intangibles.
  • Manage and reconcile fixed asset schedules in and outside of JDE from planning through disposal.
  • Oversee post-implementation audits and track capital spending against budget.
  • Serve as the JD Edwards Fixed Asset and Lease System Modules superuser, ensuring full system utilization to streamline and automated processes.
  • Prepare and record journal entries.
  • Perform month end close procedures.
  • Support the annual external audit.
  • Assist with creating and updating accounting process documentation.
  • Assist with software upgrades and department training.
  • Consistently strive for gains in efficiency with process improvement initiatives.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years' experience in Finance, Accounting, or related background.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP.
  • Detail orientated, professional, and reliable.
  • Highly organized and a self-starter.
  • Proficient problem-solving skills, analytical, documentation.
  • Exhibits research and resolution skills.
  • Ability to interpret data, draw meaningful insights, and identify root causes - curious about the "why" and "how."
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally across all levels in and outside the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and with a small team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Proven prioritization skills with the ability to multitask and adapt to changing needs.
  • Demonstrates curiosity and a growth mindset; asks thoughtful questions understand the business.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Relevant progressive experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with fixed assets, leases, and general ledgeraccounting.
  • Experience in both public and private accounting.
  • Financial experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The starting base salary range for this position is $76,722 - $95,902 per year. The compensation posted is the anticipated pay for the position at the time of the posting. We may pay above or below posted amount based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and/or certifications, skills, experience, or work location. Some positions may qualify for additional compensation in the form of bonuses.
