Job Description




As a Security Officer - Mall Patrol Driver in Luckey, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support access control with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, post orders, and/or emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting additional support and/or public emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail distribution and warehouse location, including the perimeter, parking areas, trailer yards, and dock doors as assigned.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying identification, checking visitor logs, and following sign-in and badge procedures.
  • Observe inbound and outbound vehicle activity at gates and/or entrances, following instructions for directing traffic, documenting deliveries, and reporting irregularities.
  • Use surveillance systems, radios, and/or other communication tools to monitor activity and report suspicious or unusual behavior per site procedures.
  • Assist with loss prevention and other security-related duties by reporting potential theft, damage, or policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
  • Complete daily activity logs, incident reports, and other documentation in a timely manner, using clear and accurate descriptions.
  • Perform foot and/or vehicle patrols as directed, adapting to varying working environments and conditions at the location.
  • Provide directions and general assistance to drivers, employees, and visitors while maintaining a professional presence and customer-focused approach.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
