You will verify credentials, monitor activity, document security-related events, and communicate clearly with site teams. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, drivers, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at entry points by checking identification, verifying authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining visitor and contractor logs.
  • Screen and/or route inbound and outbound truck traffic by confirming appointments, directing drivers to designated docks or yards, and communicating with site personnel as needed.
  • Conduct vehicle, trailer, and/or load area checks as directed, such as verifying trailer numbers, seal status, and departure authorization in accordance with site policy.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting, documenting, and notifying site contacts and/or dispatch as required.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems when assigned, and report irregular activity and/or policy violations.
  • Perform interior and exterior patrols of warehouse, dock areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, with working environments and conditions that may vary by location.
  • Complete detailed daily activity reports and incident reports, and maintain accurate logs of access events, deliveries, and key security-related observations.
  • Support shipping and receiving operations by coordinating access for deliveries, pickups, and service calls while maintaining site rules and professional conduct at all times.
  • Follow post orders related to key control, credential control, restricted areas, and chain-of-custody processes when applicable.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
