Job Description




As a Security Officer - Property Patrol in Nashville, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet tenants and visitors, respond to concerns, and communicate clearly while documenting observations and activity. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and tenants at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking areas, loading areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual conditions, suspicious behavior, and/or unauthorized entry, and report concerns per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including tenant concerns, disturbances, medical situations, and/or fire and alarm activations.
  • Complete incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation in a clear and timely manner.
  • Communicate with property management, tenants, vendors, and emergency responders as needed, using radio, phone, and/or other approved communication methods.
  • Perform access control and visitor management as assigned, including checking credentials, directing visitors, and assisting with deliveries and/or contractor check-ins.
  • Support life-sustaining building operations by observing for issues such as unsecured doors, propped doors, lighting outages, and/or maintenance concerns, and notifying the appropriate contacts per site procedures.
  • Operate site equipment as assigned, including CCTV and/or alarm systems, while following site-specific policies.
  • Follow Allied Universal and site-specific procedures for confidentiality, customer interactions, and escalation of concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2+ years of security experience.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
