As an unarmed patrol officer in a transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access points while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, so you will use a vehicle to cover assigned areas, document observations, and report concerns. Why Join Us: What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, suspicious activity, unattended items, and disruptive behavior.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout transportation facilities, including terminals, ticketing areas, gates, baggage areas, curbside zones, parking areas, and perimeter locations as assigned.
- Control access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, monitoring doors and gates, and directing unauthorized persons to the appropriate check-in and/or screening locations.
- Monitor CCTV and other alarm systems when assigned, identifying irregular activity and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or appropriate responders.
- Perform routine checks of public areas and back-of-house spaces for policy violations, maintenance hazards, and prohibited activity, then notify the appropriate department for follow-up.
- Assist with passenger flow and queue management during peak travel periods, disruptions, and special events, providing directions and de-escalation when needed.
- Document and report daily activity, incidents, and observations using required reports, logs, and/or electronic systems in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with transportation operations staff and local first responders as directed to support incident response, crowd management, and facility access control.
- Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols of parking lots, service roads, and perimeter fencing as assigned, reporting suspicious vehicles, damaged barriers, and other concerns.
Minimum Requirements: - - Be at least 21+ years of age.
- - A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- - Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- - Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- - Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- - Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
