As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support guests, tenants, and staff with clear communication, timely reporting, and a customer-focused approach. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical situations, disturbances, missing children reports and/or property damage.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail property, including interior common areas, storefront corridors, loading and service areas and perimeter parking areas. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor for unusual activity, unauthorized access and/or policy violations, and take appropriate action within post orders to help to deter incidents.
• Assist with access control by observing entrances and exits, verifying credentials when required and/or directing visitors to appropriate locations.
• Provide visible presence in public areas to support a positive customer experience, offering directions, escort assistance when permitted and/or de-escalation support during guest disputes.
• Observe for potential theft indicators and/or retail policy concerns, and communicate observations to on-site management and/or law enforcement as directed by post orders.
• Operate and monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, alarms, radios and/or access control devices as assigned, and report system concerns per procedure.
• Complete written and/or electronic reports including daily activity logs, incident reports and maintenance or hazard notifications, following Allied Universal and site guidelines.
• Coordinate with Allied Universal leadership, property management and/or local responders during incidents, and assist with scene control and documentation as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be able to ride a bike.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be able to ride a bike for long periods of time preferred.
• Have customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
