About Us
Located in the heart of downtown Cleveland, the historic Hotel Cleveland, a Marriott Autograph Collection property, features 491 newly renovated guest rooms and outstanding guest service. We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to lead and support our housekeeping team in maintaining exceptional cleanliness and comfort throughout the hotel.

Position Summary
The Room Inspector coordinates, inspects, and ensures the daily cleaning and servicing of guest rooms, corridors, and public areas. This role provides direction, training, and support to housekeepers and floor attendants, ensuring Marriott brand standards are met while fostering a positive and productive team environment.

Essential Job Functions



  • Conducting daily inspections of all areas cleaned by the Housekeeping Department including the guest rooms and public areas. Records all relevant information on the Housekeeping Inspection Report.
  • Distributing to the Room Attendants any new items that are to be stocked in the guest rooms.
  • Notifying the Maintenance Department of any necessary repairs or maintenance work via the completion of maintenance work orders or verbal communication.
  • Assisting Executive Housekeeper and/or Assistant Executive Housekeeper in conducting room attendant training to improve weak areas reflected in the individual's performance evaluations.
  • Assisting the Executive Housekeeper and/or Assistant Executive Housekeeper in completing room assignments for the Guest Room Attendants from the Housekeeping Report.
  • Assisting in cleaning rooms or public areas and performing laundry functions as workload may require.



    • Support the Executive Housekeeper with scheduling, payroll, and performance reviews as needed.


    • Other tasks as assigned.


    Qualifications




    • 2+ years of previous housekeeping or hospitality supervisory experience preferred.



    • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.



    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lead by example.



    • Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and stand for extended periods.



    • Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.





    The hourly starting rate of pay for this position is $18/hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

    This position is not eligible for bonus.
