Job Summary The Warehouse Lead is responsible for oversight and daily task management of one or more of the following functional areas: shipping, picking, packing, FG receiving/put away, RM receiving/put away, configuration or other defined warehouse function. Duties & Responsibilities: (Within assigned functional area)
- Direct daily tactical oversight of specific area of responsibility.
- Assures accurate and timely transactions within inventory control system
- Lead associated personnel in daily deliverables
- Monitor productivity of employees by:
- Oversight of job tasks to be performed/completed and deadlines
- Monitor work flow and assign/redeploy employees
- Monitor employee's adherence to scheduled work hours and required lunch and rest periods
- Monitor employees performance and update Supervisor/Manager as appropriate
- Monitor and track team member attendance;
- Working knowledge of all warehouse and inventory control activities to ensure all shipments are prprerly prepared and posted;
- Provide oversight and direction for new hire/job function training
- Handle material movement and goods, and maintenance of inventory control records;
- Reconcile material discrepancies and coordinate paperwork;
- Ensure that systems are in working order, enlist IT and facilities where necessary to correct problems;
- Verify the quantities of incoming or outgoing goods against the purchase/sales order, and manifests;
- Ensure accurate addressing and preparation of bills of lading, and for packing goods to be shipped;
- Shipping, Warehousing and Distribution function for raw materials, in-process goods and released finished products;
- Ensure good housekeeping in warehouse;
- Provide team leadership to Warehouse employees including:
- trains new or less experienced employees
- helps to resolve any problems or issues that may arise
- mentors and coaches new and less experienced employees
- acts as role model and a positive influence for other employees
- Perform other duties or special projects as assigned;
Minimum Qualifications
- Three or more years of related experience, with at least one year in a senior/lead role;
- Ability to read, understand, and follow company quality policy;
- Ability to effectively lead and motivate team members;
- Ability to delegate tasks coupled with good organizational skills;
- General mathematical skills;
- Ability to follow oral and written communication;
- Prior experience in warehousing facility;
- Experience in Good Documentation Practices and regulated industry requirements
- Strong Computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel) and other warehousing systems;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience operating a Forklift;
Education: High School diploma or GED is required. Compensation: The anticipated hourly range for this position is $18/hr - $23/hr. plus benefits. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience. Physical requirements/Work Environment This position primarily works in a warehouse environment. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Must be able to operate a Forklift. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. May stand for extended periods when working in the warehouse or walking in the facilities. Some local travel may be required, so the ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid Driver's license is required.
