Job Scope

The Quality Control (QC) Technician I is responsible for testing raw materials and products manufactured by DiaSorin Molecular and The Quality Control (QC) Technician I is responsible for testing raw materials and products manufactured by DiaSorin Molecular and completing all required documentation relevant to testing and release of products. Supports all applicable regulations including but not limited to FDA, ISO, and CMD/CAS requirements.

Job Responsibilities











  • Perform release or in-process testing of products or raw materials according to written documents (package inserts, QC or manufacturing specifications).




  • Complete batch records and Quality Control specifications with legibility and accuracy.




  • Maintain adequate stock and lab supplies as needed.




  • Correctly store and perform periodic review of retainers (checking expiry dating).




  • Provide stability testing and documentation as scheduled.




  • Perform visual Quality Control on all lots of kits before release.




  • Assist other departments in testing necessary for product improvement.




  • Clean and maintain laboratory areas. This will also include periodic checks of equipment, ensuring calibrations and/or preventive maintenance has been performed and is within dating.




  • Utilize light and fluorescence microscopy for the review and release of IFA products.




  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.




  • Perform assigned tasks in accordance with applicable Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) regulations and Company EHS policies.




  • Perform other duties as assigned.




Education, Experience and Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, or similar discipline
  • Knowledge of laboratory processes and procedures
  • Experience working independently in a fast-paced environment with exhibited ability to adjust to rapidly changing priorities
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, in verbal and written format, important
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team



Standard Working Conditions



  • Must work onsite at Luminex office
  • Travel may be required at least 10% of the time
  • Possible exposure to mechanical, biological or chemical hazard
  • Work is normally performed in a typical office environment
  • Work situations include working in teams and independently
  • Physical Demands: All positions require standing, stooping, bending, climbing, sitting, kneeling, and lifting at least 10 lbs. Additional physical requirements are listed below:
  • o Pounds lifted (up to 20lbs)
  • o Vision (Color) on the job is required frequently



Travel Requirements



  • 10% Travel may be required at least 10% of the time

The hourly posting for this position is $20.12 - $24.60 Hourly.
