Lead NSC/Voice Technician

Position Summary:
The Lead NSC/Voice Technician is responsible for direct technical support and oversight for the Network Support Center (NSC). The individual is accountable for ensuring all NSC-related daily tasks and orders are accomplished according to the HNC-TO priority matrix and Air Force standards.

Primary Duties:

  • Provide oversight for NSC operations and act as the primary point of contact for NSC-related orders.
  • Coordinate with Government leads to synchronize activities and resolve technical challenges.
  • Deliver weekly NSC ticket and status reports to the CSO and COR.
  • Ensure the NSC's adherence to Air Force policies, regulatory compliance, and operational security standards.
  • Support and maintain network backbone infrastructure, routing and switching devices, and ensure continuous availability and high performance across all CCSD-occupied buildings.
  • Ensure compliance with industry/regulatory standards (e.g., TIA, ITIL, BICSI, NEC, ISO 9000), and Air Force and DoD security requirements.
  • Provide asset management of networking equipment and support for networked systems across various security levels (NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, NSANet, Tier1 networks).
  • Support voice/video systems, including VoIP and VTC operations, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for successful implementation

Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Proficiency in Cisco network routers and switches, advanced networking principles (routing, switching, OSI Reference Model), Air Force network configuration and operation.
  • Preferred certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Server 2008 or higher, VMWare 5.1 or higher, and vSphere administration.
  • DoD 8140 IAT Level II baseline certification (Security+ CE preferred).
  • Must possess or be able to obtain/maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance and valid Counter Intelligence (CI) Polygraph for NSA server access
