Summary

This role will be responsible for supporting the business with product releases and data management around the analytical testing and food safety needs of the business. This position, under the direction and supervision of both the Senior Quality Manager and Sr. Director of FSQA and Sanitation, will conduct and coordinate release plans, tracking progress and maintaining a schedule of testing and timeline for release on all finished and in process product. This individual will be responsible for coordinating between various teams to ensure smooth and timely releases as well as managing the testing phases to maintain the necessary quality standards. This role has a responsibility for adhering to and/or complying with good laboratory practices (GLPs), GMPs and safety protocols in the Twin Falls site laboratory.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct and coordinate product releases and a timeline of any delayed release plans. Coordinate additional work required for non-conforming products including dispositions to destroy as necessary or remix.
  • Oversee stages of testing including subsample coordination and any extra testing required.
  • Works collaboratively with department leadership in a timely manner helping drive solutions when needed.
  • Monitor and enforces food safety and quality standards, including FSP and GMP guidelines
  • Ensure testing is performed in accordance with written protocols and any non-conforming or invalid data is responded to in accordance with protocols and results are reported to management/key stakeholders without delay.
  • Assure that results are properly recorded with appropriate degree of confidentiality.
  • Ensure that non-conforming or invalid data is followed up on with corrective actions.
  • Support nonconformance tracking and trending.
  • Assist management by drafting reports of the data in a meaningful, impactful manner
  • Ensure that samples are received, handled, and processed, so that results are logged and reported in a timely fashion for access by key stakeholders.
  • Send-out samples for external evaluation as directed by management
  • Assist in conducting testing in support of key projects/studies (e.g., shelf-life studies, method development studies) under the guidance of management.
  • Follow Chobani's safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
Requirements
  • Minimum HS diploma, post-secondary education in microbiology or related field preferred.
  • Relevant work experience in food and/or pharmaceutical industries.
  • In depth knowledge of food microbiology and microbiological test procedures.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in laboratory setting (industry and/or academic).
  • Keen attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and organization skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting and critical thinking skills with ability to work under pressure
  • Must be familiar with standard analytical methods for food
  • Skilled and knowledgeable in Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs).
  • Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and SAP system
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities/projects and deliver within deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to understand, record and communicate technical data.
  • Ability to work independently or in a group with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of job related to working in a wet and cold environment.
  • Ability to work standard non-production day shift or other work schedules as determined by business need, including weekends or overtime as required.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and time-management skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams

The salary range for this full-time position is$27.75-$37.25, + bonus + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
