Role Overview
Eastman Kodak is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to support the Supply Operations organization of Kodak's Digital Print Division onsite in Dayton, Ohio. The Mechanical Engineer's primary focus will be on the system qualification process and certification of ink performance in Kodak Prosper and ULTRASTREAM products. This role will also be tasked with development and continuous improvement activities for these products- as well as identifying, validating and implementing solutions to increase customer satisfaction by improving core system reliability and operational processes. Work will include failure analysis, laboratory testing of existing and prototype parts and software, as well as manufacturing process improvement. Close interaction with other engineering disciplines is required due to the complex printing system consisting of fluid mechanics, electronics, software and materials. The Mechanical Engineer will coordinate activities involving other engineers and technicians as necessary. The engineer will have direct contact and develop vital working relationships with current customers, field service engineers, R&D engineers and Manufacturing engineering and operations. The engineer will provide advanced support to Service Engineering for customer issues that are escalated. Both domestic and international travel to customer sites is expected and will typically be between 5% and 10%.
