Job Description:

Description

The Reliability Lab Engineer is responsible for developing and ensuring qualification readiness for Product, Package, and Process Qualifications. This role requires strong technical capability, effective communication, and close collaboration with design and reliability teams to prepare qualification hardware, systems, and documentation.

Responsibilities

Qualification Readiness



  • Lead the design and configuration of HTOL boards and ovens.


    • Includes modification and optimization of HTOL systems.


  • Lead the design and configuration of HAST boards.
  • Develop and deliver technician training for:


    • HTOL board and oven configuration
    • HAST board configuration



Planning, Coordination, and Reporting



  • Attend planning meetings to present and assess qualification readiness for new product qualifications.
  • Update the qualification readiness status spreadsheet and provide weekly readiness reports.


HTOL Development & Support



  • Collaborate with design engineering to define HTOL test conditions.




    • Use thermal imaging to ensure HTOL testing operates within the required junctiontemperature range.




  • Create HTOL setup spreadsheets that guide technicians during RF HTOL oven setup, including clear written instructions on modes, frequencies, voltages, and power requirements.
  • Develop and install test programs for Mega HTOL systems.
  • Provide technical support for all RF HTOL setups within the reliability lab.


Life Test Module (LTM) Development



  • Work with design engineering to develop Life Test Module (LTM) designs, ensuring readiness before product arrival for qualification.
  • Provide backup LTM designs when design engineering is unable to support departmental requirements.


Equipment Support



  • Provide support for reliability chambers and other environmental test equipment
  • Work with management to deploy new reliability stress test setups, including integration of new equipment with software monitoring systems
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate maintenance or repairs with vendor support

Required Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or physics, with 2 years of applicable experience.
  • Strong written communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Power Point

Desired Experience and Skills

  • Experience with burn-in, temperature cycling, or other environmental stress testing
  • Familiarity with RF bench testing
  • Experience with C++ and LabVIEW

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $77,900 - $142,900 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
