Pipefitter Helper - Commercial Construction

Job Summary

We are seeking a Pipefitter Helper to support journeyman and apprentice pipefitters on active commercial construction job sites. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the mechanical trades while working in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.


Essential Duties

  • Assist pipefitters with installation, assembly, and maintenance of piping systems

  • Load, unload, and stage materials, tools, and equipment

  • Measure, cut, thread, groove, and prep pipe under supervision

  • Support layout and installation of piping systems for HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems

  • Clean work areas and maintain job site organization

  • Operate basic hand and power tools safely

  • Follow all job site safety rules and company policies

  • Perform other general labor duties as assigned


Minimum Requirements

  • Previous construction or mechanical trade experience preferred, not required

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor throughout the workday

  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions

  • Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced pipefitters

  • Basic knowledge of hand tools a plus

  • Reliable transportation to job site

  • OSHA 10 or willingness to obtain

Preferred
  • Trade school coursework or enrollment in an apprenticeship program

  • Experience on commercial construction sites

  • Familiarity with steel, copper, PVC, or threaded piping

Work Environment
  • Active commercial construction sites

  • Standing, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and lifting required

  • PPE required (hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toe boots)

  • Must be able to pass a background and drug test
