Summary / Position Purpose:

The Equipment Technician will clean, repair, and maintain all equipment and tooling to ensure proper and safe operations by following documented processes.



Essential Duties, Functions and/or Responsibilities:



  • Clean, maintain and repair all equipment in a production environment.
  • Understand proper machine set-up and operation.
  • Understand operating procedures and proper handling of hazardous materials.
  • Continually improve equipment to maximize safety and productivity.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and well-organized work environment.
  • Assist production workers to troubleshoot and setup equipment when necessary.
  • Ability to manage several tasks at once and work well with all co-workers.
  • Attain required qualified training hours per fiscal year.
  • Indirectly and directly responsible for product quality.
  • Manage other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:



  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance and repair experience.
  • Working knowledge must include pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Knowledge of 55-gallon ram pumps and piston fillers a plus.
  • Working knowledge of accident prevention practices.
  • Mechanical ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Time management skills
  • Attentive to detail
  • General knowledge of safety and accident prevention practices.
  • Positive team attitude


Physical Requirements:



  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. on occasion.
