Job Summary:
Recreation & Wellbeing (Rec Well) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking a detailoriented, innovative, and energetic intern to support scheduling and event operations within one of the nation's premier collegiate recreation departments. This position offers immersive, real-world experience in event planning, logistics, and student-staff leadership within one of the most energetic and dynamic campus environments. Our state-of-the-art facilities are unlike traditional conference or hotel venues. As the Scheduling and Events Intern, you'll help bring events to life-from student-organization meetings to campus-wide programs-while serving as a vital support to the student event staff who make them happen. You'll gain handson experience coordinating event logistics, supporting onsite operations, solving problems in real time, and contributing to process improvements that shape how Rec Well events run all year. You'll also have the chance to step into a leadership role by supporting the hiring, training, and development of our student event staff team. This is a highimpact, highinteraction internship perfect for anyone aspiring to build a career in event management, recreation operations, hospitality, or student affairs. This internship is fundamentally about supporting event operations, enhancing the student staff experience, and contributing to a fastpaced, peoplefocused environment. Each week will bring new events, new challenges, and new opportunities to learn and grow as an emerging event professional. It offers immersive, fulllifecycle event experience, from intake and planning to logistics coordination, to onsite execution and evaluation. This intern will gain experience in:
