Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluates operational data to detect patterns and recommend optimizations.
- Assists in preparing engineering drawings, layouts, and technical specifications for new projects.
- Analyzes project and operational expenditures to suggest more cost-effective engineering solutions.
- Performs calculations related to load, flow rates, material strength, and other technical parameters.
- Assesses design drawings and provides recommendations to ensure compliance with project goals.
- Helps develop asset lifecycle plans for aging infrastructure and optimize replacement schedules.
- Leverages engineering software and data analytics tools for better decision-making.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsible for providing support for the evaluation of EPC Contractor's design techniques and procedures for Process equipment packages.
Responsible for assigned phases of the technical development, design, and implementation of Process engineering activities associated with the project.
Reviews participates in the review and audit of vendor drawings, documents, technical specifications, studies and reports and analysis.
Analyzes PFD's, heat and material balances (HMB) and PIDs.
Ensures appropriate project Operating Management Systems (OMS) and Operations Excellence procedures and practices for PALNG.
Participates in Process HAZID, HAZOP, and SIL/LOPA analysis as needed
Performs in factory acceptance tests and inspections
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Education
- Typically requires a 4 year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Experience
- Typically requires 5 years of related experience.
8+ years/Energy or LNG Industry Operations Support preferred
LNG Facility Commissioning, Start-up and Operations Support preferred

- Engineering Design - A series of steps that engineers follow to find a solution to a problem.
- Troubleshooting
- Data Analysis - Measuring and managing organization data, identifying methodological best practices and conducting statistical analyses.
- Equipment Maintenance & Repair
- Engineering Blueprint/Schematics Interpretation
- Root Cause Analysis - The process of discovering the root causes of problems in order to identify appropriate solutions.
- Regulatory Compliance - Ensuring an organization's adherence to laws, regulations, guidelines and specifications relevant to its business processes.
- Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Management - The systematic approach to maintain health and safety at occupation and protect the environment.
- Project/Program Management - The process of leading the work of a team to achieve goals and meet success criteria at a specified time.
- Asset Management - A systematic process of developing, operating, maintaining, upgrading, and disposing of assets in the most cost-effective manner (including all costs, risks and performance attributes).
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficient in Process Engineering principles/techniques. Understands technical concepts in related engineering disciplines (Instrumentation & Controls, Electrical, Rotating and Mechanical).
- General knowledge of discipline-specific industry codes, regulations, and standards.
- Understanding of an LNG Operations plant life cycle. Basic knowledge of project development, safe work processes and CSU (Commissioning and Startup).
- Knowledge of LNG Technology and other renewable energy technologies. (APCI technology preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to function in a startup, operations and troubleshooting environment of LNG Operations
- Knowledge of implementing LNG plant optimization plans and energy efficiency process and projects
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team at an operating LNG facility; including Operations, Maintenance, Regulatory/Compliance and commercial Ops
- Good communication skills and works well in a diverse team
Work Schedule
HYBRID: Work a combination of onsite and remote days each week, typically 2-3 days per week.

$115,500.00 - $182,500.00 / year
