Job Description




As a Security Officer - Clinic Waiting Area in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a government healthcare location supporting vaccine services, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a highly visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to situations with calm, clear communication. You will assist staff, patients, and visitors with courteous customer service while documenting observations and reporting concerns. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government healthcare location by following Allied Universal protocols, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate internal staff and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, loading areas, and the exterior perimeter, noting that working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and assist with access control activities such as checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing authorized visitors to the correct destinations.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs, document unusual activity, and communicate status updates to supervisors and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Vaccines are required for this hospital site.
  • CPR Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • A guard card and/or security license is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
