Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed RPO Patrol in Mount Holly, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and respond to security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will use strong communication and customer service to help de-escalate concerns, document activity, and coordinate with site leaders and first responders. This post requires an Armed Guard Card and/or license.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct armed patrols and security-related presence inside and around the facility and perimeter, including regular and random patrols, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, reporting, and coordination with clinical staff and local public responders as directed.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas, verify identification and/or visitor authorization, and assist with directing individuals to appropriate destinations while supporting site rules.
  • Complete required security-related documentation such as incident reports, patrol logs, and equipment checks, and follow all armed post handling, storage, and compliance requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3+ years combined law enforcement/military/security experience or a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a New Jersey RPO Certificate.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
