Security Officer - Armed Patrol Rounds

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Rounds in Saint Louis, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a busy food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with team members and site leaders. This is an armed post, supporting a caring, people-first culture while remaining agile, reliable, innovative, and integrity-driven. You will also provide helpful customer service while documenting and reporting concerns promptly.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to store team members, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout interior retail areas, receiving and storage areas, loading dock zones, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, potential theft indicators, and/or prohibited behavior, and report observations per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical situations, and/or facility alarms.
• Control access to non-public areas by verifying credentials for team members, contractors, and/or deliveries, as required by post orders.
• Observe and report conditions that may present risk to people, property, and/or operations, including spills, blocked exits, damaged doors, and/or unsecured gates, and communicate findings to site contacts.
• Complete security-related reports, activity logs, and incident documentation with clear, timely, and factual information.
• Assist with opening and/or closing procedures as directed, including perimeter checks, door checks, and/or lighting checks.
• Operate security-related systems and equipment as assigned, such as radios, phones, CCTV, and/or access control, and notify appropriate contacts of concerns.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement, emergency services, and/or store management when escalation is needed, following site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
