What to Expect

Tesla is seeking a highly motivated individual, with at least 3 years of verifiable Additive Manufacturing/3D Printing experience, interested in expanding the skill sets necessary to operate Additive Manufacturing/3D Printing equipment in our rapidly growing Additive Manufacturing department.


What You'll Do
  • Program/operate3D Systems SLA and SLS systems, Stratasys FDM systems, HP MJF systems, and FormLabs SLA and SLS systems
  • Operate, control, and optimize multiple Additive Manufacturing processes from CAD file to finished part
  • Perform all functions related to machine turnaround and preparation
  • Offer guidance, as required, to junior level technicians regarding basic daily operations and functions
  • Other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring
  • 3+ years verifiable experience operating and working in an Additive Manufacturing/Prototyping environment, preferably a high volume environment
  • Ability to independently set up SLA, SLS, MJF, and FDM builds for optimized throughput with little to no guidance
  • Skilled at optimizing the Additive Manufacturing/Rapid Prototyping process
  • Ability to repeatedly produce complex and tight tolerance components
  • Proficient in one or more of the proprietary 3D printing software programs and a basic knowledge of CATIA, Solidworks, and/or Magics
  • Basic knowledge of GD&T
  • 2 year technical degree or equivalent experience, with an emphasis on 3D printing, polymers, or advanced manufacturing preferred.
  • Willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as required, with little to no advance notice, and sometimes for extended periods
  • Ability to be flexible, proactive, and multi-task

    Expected Compensation
    $24.40 - $43.20/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
