STV is seeking a Senior Highway Design Task Lead to join our dynamic Chicago Transportation Group. You will lead major projects, mentor junior staff, and serve as a technical expert in a collaborative, flexible environment.

What You'll Do at STV:

  • Lead and produce high-quality highway/roadway design plans that meet client expectations and adhere to budgets and schedules
  • Serve as the go-to technical resource for internal staff and provide guidance on design standards and best practices
  • Collaborate with external design disciplines to ensure seamless project integration
  • Oversee technical execution and maintain accountability across multiple projects
  • Assist project managers with planning, budgeting, and client coordination
  • Supervise and mentor engineers, CAD staff, and junior team members
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards
  • Stay current with IDOT/Tollway guidelines and evolving design procedures

What We are seeking in our candidates:

  • BS in Civil Engineering
  • PE in Illinois
  • 10+ years in highway design; Familiar with IDOT/Tollway standards
  • Proficiency in MicroStation, Geopak, InRoads, or OpenRoads Designer

Compensation Range:

$146,678.11 - $167,632.13
