Job Description

Job Description and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, implement, and support complex network systems in the commercial production environment.
  • Support Datacenter and WAN connectivity and determine capacity needs for new business requirements.
  • Serve as the primary expert for client connectivity thru cloud and MPLS, providing guidance to clients and Visa teams.
  • Produce network design documentation for project teams, peers, and support groups.
  • Provision new client processing by executing required network updates and offering technical assistance.
  • Serve as a 3rd level support for hardware installation and operation of these networks' routers, switches, & SD-WAN devices.
  • Partner with Cybersecurity to ensure compliance with Visa security standards and assist in event analysis.
  • Recommend improvements to strengthen the effectiveness of client connectivity.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance network management through automation and AI.

This is a hybrid position. Expectations of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications

3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)

Hands-on expertise in programming and scripting using Python or similar languages, and automating workflows with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD pipelines.

Proficiency in integrating monitoring solutions with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Proven experience leveraging AI and GenAI technologies to improve efficiency

Extensive experience engineering, deploying, and operating vendor-purchased, off-the-shelf network monitoring solutions (e.g., SevOne, Netscout, NetBrain, ThousandEyes).

Strong skills in database management, including SQL and the integration of diverse data sources for comprehensive monitoring.

Deep understanding of SNMP, syslog, and modern observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK), including their orchestration in hybrid on-prem/cloud environments.

Track record of driving operational excellence by creating automated systems and integrations.

Experience managing enterprise ITSM platforms for incident, request, and change management in 24x7 environments.

Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to lead complex incident resolution and root cause analysis.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is 110,700.00 to 171,800.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
