E-Commerce Ads Specialist

Long term contract

Remote- Must be able to work CST

Our client is seeking an E-Commerce Ads Specialist to manage and optimize performance-driven advertising campaigns across Google, Microsoft, Meta, and other digital channels. This role is heavily focused on SEM, Google Merchant Center management, and supporting our Magento e-commerce ecosystem, ensuring product data quality, feed optimization, ROAS growth, and strategic scaling of paid programs. The ideal candidate combines strong technical advertising skills with e-commerce understanding, enjoys hands-on campaign execution, and consistently drives measurable revenue outcomes.

Responsibilities:



  • Plan, launch, and optimize paid search, shopping, display, and retargeting campaigns across Google Ads, Bing Ads, and additional paid channels as needed.
  • Build and manage Performance Max, Shopping, Standard Search, and Dynamic Search Ads campaigns.
  • Conduct ongoing keyword research, negative keyword refinement, bid optimizations, and audience segmentation.
  • Develop and manage retargeting programs via Meta Ads, Google Display Network, and other platforms.
  • Oversee product feed health, troubleshoot disapprovals, and ensure item-level accuracy.
  • Manage scheduled fetches, API integrations, or feed upload workflows from Magento.
  • Collaborate with developers or use Magento extensions to maintain compliant, optimized product feeds (titles, attributes, variants, GTINs, item_group_ids, etc.).
  • Ensure alignment with Google Shopping policies to maintain product approval rates and maximize impressions.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance through Google Analytics (GA4), platform dashboards, and internal reporting tools.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports on KPIs including ROAS, CPA, CVR, AOV, CTR, impression share, and product-level performance.
  • Use data insights to propose iterative tests, budget shifts, and strategic growth opportunities.


Nice to have:



  • Experience working within Magento or partnering with dev teams to ensure product listings are optimized for paid shopping visibility
  • Familiarity with feed extension tools (e.g., Amasty, Mirasvit, Magmodules)
  • Understanding of Magento data structures and workflows that contribute to feed accuracy and ad performance

  • PPC E-Commerce Expertise - Deep understanding of pay-per-click advertising and bidding strategies
  • Google Merchant Center - Oversee product feed health, troubleshoot disapprovals, and ensure item-level accuracy
  • Analytical Thinking - Ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights
  • Campaign Optimization - Skilled in optimizing campaigns for maximum performance and ROI
  • Collaboration - Works well with cross-functional teams to achieve goals
  • Adaptability - Stays current with industry trends and adapts strategies accordingly


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 3+ years of direct hands-on experience managing paid search & shopping campaigns
  • Proven proficiency optimizing PPC campaigns on Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and Meta Ads
  • Experience with Google Merchant Center including feed troubleshooting and optimization
  • Experience working with Magento (1 or 2) e-commerce platforms is a bonus, or Shopify or WooCommerce
  • Strong understanding of SEM fundamentals including bidding strategies, campaign types (Performance Max, Demand Gen, Search, Shopping, Display, Video), keyword match types, audience layering, attribution, and conversion tracking
  • Experience working with GA4, Google Tag Manager, and event/conversion setup
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in paid advertising
