Your Job

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Specialist to support the continual improvement of QA processes and procedures. This role ensures customer needs are met by monitoring internal processes and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will provide a professional and disciplined approach to quality assurance, documentation, process audits, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to build quality into the process.

Shift: 1st shift. Monday-Thursday 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday

What You Will Do

  • Support QA processes to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with process specifications.
  • Contribute to quality issue responses, ensuring timely resolution and reduced cost to quality.
  • Act as a resource for confirming product quality requirements & presence of defects when product quality questions arise
  • Conducts internal audits and compliance checks for continuous improvement.
  • Review, update, & perform training related to Quality management systems
  • Help resolve unclear production requirements through cross-team collaboration.
  • Evaluate & update inspection plans to improve their effectiveness.
  • Coordinate & perform process qualification, validation and safe launch activities.
  • Monitor compliance to part specifications using quality measurement tools and auditing techniques.
  • Creates SOPs, work instructions, and training programs.
  • Support Quality engineer with internal and external 8D defect response activities
  • Strong understanding of ISO standards, regulatory compliance, and process improvement methodologies
  • Works closely with engineering and management on continuous improvement.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to support internal and external defect investigations with the goal of preventing recurrence.
  • Analytical and documentation skills.
  • Ability to lead audits and root cause analysis.
  • Perform incoming goods and other inspections as needed using visual and/or specialized tools.
  • Ensures that systems, procedures, and standards are in place to prevent defects.
  • Function as the first contact for quality concerns before escalation.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • One (1) year or more of inspection or related experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience reading & interpreting part drawings, blueprints, engineering drawings & specifications.
  • Experience using quality tools such as calipers, pin gauges, micrometers, and optical measuring equipment.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience with ISO9001, IATF 16949 Quality Management Systems.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Optical measurement machine experience
  • Experience using structured problem-solving tools such as 5-Whys, 8D, PDCA.
