Expert Level Travel Network Engineer Location(s): Travel to AZ, CA, NV, UT (75% of the role is traveling to different sites) About the Role We are seeking a highly experienced Expert-Level Network Engineer with deep handson expertise in network design, architecture, and Palo Alto firewall implementations/configurations. This position involves substantial travel across multiple states and supports a wide range of business units within a dynamic enterprise environment. You will lead on-site infrastructure deployments, configure and troubleshoot complex network systems, and support server and security platforms across various U.S. locations. This role is ideal for a selfdriven engineer who thrives in a hands-on, field-focused environment. Candidates must reside in the Pacific Time Zone (PST) to align with operational and travel requirements. Key Responsibilities Network Engineering & Infrastructure * Design and architect enterprise-scale network environments * Configure and deploy routers, switches, and other network systems * Lead on-site installations of Cisco and Palo Alto hardware * Perform rack & stack activities, structured cabling, and hardware mounting * Troubleshoot connectivity issues, cabling faults, and access/switch problems * Support WiFi and wireless connectivity across Cisco, Aruba, and Meraki platforms * Work extensively inside IDFs, MDFs, and server rooms * Support and maintain server infrastructure, including: * VMware vCenter * Windows Server * HyperV * Scale Computing Tools & Technologies You'll Use * Networking: Cisco, Aruba, Meraki * Firewalls: Palo Alto (Required), Fortinet * Servers: VMware vCenter, Windows Server, HyperV, Scale Computing * Security: CrowdStrike * Device Management: Autopilot (light exposure) * Ticketing: Freshdesk Preferred Qualifications * PCNSE certification * CCNP or higher Cisco certification * Proven experience deploying and configuring Cisco switches * Strong understanding of rack/stack, cabling, IDFs/MDFs, and data center environments * Ability to design, deploy, and troubleshoot complex network infrastructures * Experience leading multisite network deployments or refresh projects Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Scottsdale, AZ. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $75.00 - $85.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
