Overview We are seeking a Splunk Engineer/Architect to help design, enhance, and support a largescale enterprise Splunk environment. This role is ideal for a highly technical engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, driving automation, and shaping modern observability platforms. What We're Looking For * Strong engineering background with deep Splunk expertise * Collaborative, adaptive professionals who thrive in fastpaced environments * Creative problemsolvers who enjoy building scalable, sustainable solutions Key Responsibilities * Architect, deploy, and maintain enterprise Splunk environments-including clustering, replication, and indexer optimization * Manage and optimize Splunk forwarders, DB Connect, metrics ingestion, and related components * Perform upgrades across Splunk Enterprise and Universal Forwarders * Build dashboards, visualizations, and UI components for system and application monitoring * Conduct root cause investigations and performance analysis using Splunk and Dynatrace * Integrate Splunk with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure tools such as Terraform, OpenShift, and Bitbucket * Automate operational tasks and performance monitoring * Ensure data integrity, access controls, and compliance across multisite deployments * Maintain uptodate documentation for architecture, automation, and operational procedures Required Qualifications * Expert-level experience as a Splunk Engineer or Architect * Strong knowledge of Splunk clustering design and administration * Experience with Splunk forwarders, Splunk Collect, DB Connect, and timestamp alignment * Strong Linux/Windows administration and shell scripting skills * Proficiency in Java, Python, or Windows scripting * Strong regex knowledge and advanced Splunk query language skills * Proven debugging, analytical, and problemsolving capabilities * Excellent communication and crossteam collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications * Experience with automation/deployment tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, BladeLogic, AutoSys) * Background working in secure, multidatacenter environments * Familiarity with observability and monitoring platforms * Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field * Splunk Certified Administrator or Architect Soft Skills * Ability to influence decisions and resolve competing priorities * Strong leadership and collaboration mindset * Creative thinker with an interest in innovative engineering solutions * Effective communicator who can engage diverse technical teams * Thrives in fastpaced, cohesive, highaccountability environments * Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Plano, TX. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70.24 - $73.68/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
