IT Asset Management Specialist (Onsite) Location: Ohio (Full-Time, Onsite) Interview Type: Onsite Position Overview The IT Asset Management Specialist will support an enterprise-level Asset Management Team within a state government environment. This role is responsible for accurately tracking, updating, reporting on, and coordinating the lifecycle of IT desktop and network assets. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a structured, team-based environment. Key Responsibilities * Update and maintain metadata required for IT asset management. * Add newly acquired hardware assets into the asset management system. * Manage asset reassignment activities using ServiceNow incident and request tickets. * Coordinate and oversee the disposal of outdated computer and network equipment. * Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient working area. * Apply asset tags to new equipment and ensure accurate tracking. * Generate reports to support asset reconciliation processes. * Provide mobile audiovisual (AV) support as needed. * Assist with unpacking, staging, transporting, and organizing IT equipment. * Follow established quality standards and adhere to departmental guidelines. * Communicate clear and accurate status updates to team members and end users. * Collaborate effectively with team members and complete assigned tasks on time. Required Experience & Skills Candidates must have at least 4 years of experience in the following areas: * IT asset management and metadata updates * ServiceNow-based asset reassignment * Coordination of IT equipment disposal * Asset tagging and equipment intake processes * Asset management reporting and reconciliation support * Mobile AV equipment support * Unpackaging, staging, and movement of IT hardware Additional Qualifications * Strong analytical skills * Exceptional customer service skills * Effective written and verbal communication * Ability to work full-time onsite * Ability to meet compliance requirements and follow established procedures Candidate Requirements * Must reside in Ohio (local candidates only). * Must comply with policies prohibiting the use or transport of government equipment outside the United States. * Must provide a resume free of personal information (other than name) and vendor branding.
