Join our dynamic Event Production & Studios Team. The team is responsible for delivering impactful events and media projects which bring our Microsoft story to life, inspire brand love, foster customer engagement and drive sales. Our diverse event portfolio includes Microsoft Ignite, Microsoft Build, Microsoft AI Tour, WEF, Internal flagship events and more. These first party events range from intimate invite only summits to large-scale productions, covering various audience compositions, event formats, modalities, and complexities.

We are seeking a seniorlevel events professional to own and deliver complex, highvisibility event initiatives in support of business goals. This role is responsible for leading medium to largescale events or critical event workstreams from strategy through execution, working across internal teams, external partners, and executive stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings strong operational rigor, sound judgment, and the ability to lead through influence in fastpaced, ambiguous environments.



Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end planning, production, and delivery events and major workstreams, from strategy through execution and post-event evaluation.
  • Translate business objectives into clear event strategies, operating plans, and execution frameworks that define success measures and outcomes.
  • Lead cross-functional and cross-company collaboration across creative, content, marketing, production, finance, operations, agencies, and vendors to ensure alignment and delivery excellence.
  • Establish and manage structured planning rhythms, including roadmaps, timelines, milestones, governance, and documentation to drive accountability and momentum.
  • Drive event execution with full operational oversight of budgets, forecasting, logistics, risk mitigation, and tradeoff decisions across experience, cost, and risk.
  • Serve as a trusted partner to stakeholders, providing clear recommendations, sound judgment, and decision guidance in complex and ambiguous environments.
  • Develop and lead Rhythm of Business (ROB) processes, including internal communications, stakeholder updates, and executive briefings.
  • Collaborate closely with creative and content teams to align event experiences with demand generation, registration, and field support strategies.
  • Identify, track, and report on KPIs and measurement scorecards; lead post-event evaluations and apply learnings to improve future programs.
  • Proactively identify risks and barriers, driving mitigation plans and course-corrections to maintain delivery excellence.
  • Contribute to the evolution and standardization of event operating models, playbooks, tools, and best practices to support scale, efficiency, and quality across the events organization.


Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • 3+ years business to business, business to consumer, digital, or experiential/event marketing experience OR equivalent experience.
Additional or preferred qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Liberal Arts, Performing Arts, or related field AND 6+ years business to business, business to consumer, enterprise technology, digital, or experiential/event marketing experience in the technology industry OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years marketing experience in a large multinational organization or creative/media agency.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and executing various corporate events, including large-scale external and internal conferences, hybrid and third-party events.
  • 5+ years in corporate event marketing, with experience in both digital and in-person events.
  • Demonstrates project management skills with a proven ability to handle multiple projects, set priorities, adapt to changing environments, and deliver results with a strong bias toward action.
  • Demonstrated communication skills, with the ability to translate concepts and ideas for diverse audiences, confidently present, and engage with executives and senior leaders to gain support and approvals.
  • Proven history of success in large, complex matrixed organizations, effectively coordinating across multiple stakeholders.
  • Growth-oriented mindset, with a continuous drive for learning and improvement, paired with a commitment to supporting team success.
  • Skilled in creating PowerPoint presentations, effectively distilling and conveying information to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to influence, educate, and navigate high levels of ambiguity and tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft products, AI, technologies, and solutions a plus.

Events IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
