Partner with accounting managers in revenue/AR, disbursements, and cost accounting to complete transactional workflows as needed to get the books closed.
  • Drive compliance with state and local taxes, including serving as a primary liaison with Avalara for sales tax and registering with new jurisdictions as required. Ensure sales tax tables in NetSuite are kept up to date and synchronized with Avalara.
  • Support external financial statement audits and quarterly reviews.
  • Drive rollout of a SOX 404A internal control program by working with the accounting team to help draft and refine process and controls documentation, including control matrices, process narratives, segregation of duties workflows, and controls flowcharts.

Accounting Systems Project Management

  • Design, implement, and maintain NetSuite workflows, tables, billing schedules, and revenue recognition rules.

  • Drive change management for new accounting features and integrations-create rollout plans, communications, job aids, and training that ensure strong adoption.

Who You Are

Experience in a public company subject to SOX 404A is a plus.
  • You are a great individual contributor and project manager, able to dive into the weeds and own it or project manage as needed to drive a wide range of projects.
  • Strong expertise in accounting systems and internal controls. You help get the books closed quickly and accurately and build high quality management reporting with ease. You're knowledgeable about US GAAP and have proficiency in supporting internal controls structures compliant with SOX 404A and the COSO Internal Control-Integrated Framework.
  • You're great at balancing strategic thinking and details. You are at home thinking big and helping manage the strategic drivers, while diving into the details and spending the time to make sure your output is stellar. You have a good sense of where to focus to maximize your productivity vs. the time investment required.
  • A growth mindset and comfort with ambiguity. You are comfortable working in a dynamically growing commercial environment that will require you to build systems and processes while effectively managing the day-to-day competing priorities to support our customers and other business functions.
  • Excellent communication and partnership skills. You can effectively engage with all of our stakeholders to earn their trust in you while asking the right questions and pushing the team appropriately to maximize our growth. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
