Lowell General Hospital-Saints Campus is seeking an EEG Tech to join our Sleep Lab team on a Per Diem basis!

Job Overview

This position obtains standard and special procedure EEG recordings including Evoked Potential recordings.

Job Description

Minimum Qualifications:

1. High School diploma or equivalent.

2. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. One (1) year of experience as an EEG Technologist.

Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities listed below are intended to describe the general nature of work and are not intended to be an all-inclusive list. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

1. Makes the appropriate calibration procedures of the EEG apparatus for special and standard recordings.

2. Adapts procedures to particular circumstances by adding electrodes in non-standard locations to devise the appropriate recording techniques.

3. Assists medical staff during special procedures by providing extra monitoring and extra electrode application.

4. Participates in research by collecting data such as case history, whether patient is left or right-handed, etc.

5. Gives direct technical descriptions of EEG changes to surgeons as they occur during monitoring.

6. Inspects and ensures proper maintenance of EEG and related equipment.
