Job Description




As a Security Officer - Roving Unarmed Patrol in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a hotel and resort location, you will monitor and patrol guest areas, entrances, and back-of-house spaces to help promote a welcoming environment. You will complete routine rounds, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, respond to questions and concerns with calm professionalism, and communicate clearly with staff and guests. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to guests, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a hotel and resort location.
  • Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting on-site management and/or local emergency services as required by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout public areas, back-of-house spaces, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or policy issues for reporting.
  • Monitor access points and common areas, verifying authorized entry where applicable and assisting with visitor directions and general information while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to the next shift and/or site leadership, and follow established escalation procedures for security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
